kettalalize
Kettal Alize is a modular sofa system that Vincent Van Duysen designed for Kettal in 2026 and presented at the Kettal showroom in Milan during Salone del Mobile. One rounded tube outlines every piece, and deep cushions fill the space inside that line. The system opens with three pieces of luxury outdoor furniture, each drawn with the same quiet outline.

a line drawn once
Van Duysen began with the Malibu series that Frederic Mechiche drew for Hugonet, seating closely tied to beach houses and coastal life. He did not copy its forms. What he kept was its attitude, a lightness and an easy, optimistic way of living outside. The structure stays in plain view: a tube runs around each seat in a single rounded stroke, and that outline gives Alize its character more than any detail added to it.
The family is small at launch. There is a straight sofa, a corner sofa and an armchair with armrests. Because the system is modular, the sofa and the corner piece join into long runs along a wall or into an L around a low table, and the same parts can be split into two facing groups on a smaller patio. Wherever the pieces meet, the repeated tube keeps the arrangement reading as one object.
The product pages available to us do not list the frame metal or the fabric range, so both are worth confirming with the quote. The construction itself is clear: a visible tubular frame carries deep seat and back cushions in soft upholstery. On a covered porch or beside a pool, the loose cushions are the part to plan around, since they can come indoors or go under covers during a rainy week while the frame stays where it is.
Alize continues the collaboration between Van Duysen and Kettal, and it sits among the newest Kettal outdoor furniture. His aim here was a balance between a clear architectural outline and the comfort of a lounge sofa: a firm line on the outside, volume and softness within. Because the collection is new for 2026, a price request is also the simplest way to learn which pieces can ship to the US.

Alize was drawn by Vincent Van Duysen. He took the relaxed coastal mood of the Malibu seats by Frederic Mechiche and gave it one continuous tubular line.
